Terms & Conditions

Only cats that have an up to date vaccination certificate against cat-flu and feline enteritis will be accepted. The certificate must be presented at the beginning of each visit. All cats must be treated against worms and fleas with a quality spot-on or veterinary alternative prior to arrival. If a cat is found to have fleas, it will be treated with Advantage and the cost (currently £10 per cat) will be added to the final bill.

All fees and any additional costs incurred must be paid before your cat leaves the premises

Only cats from the same household may share a pen.

No cat that is suffering from, or is suspected of suffering from any infectious disease can be accepted. All cats will be inspected on arrival and the proprietor has the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill-health pending the advice of veterinary surgeon.

Male cats over the age of 8 months that have not been neutered will not be accepted.

Owners are responsible for any veterinary fees that are incurred should your cat fall ill or need attention. By leaving your cat with us you agree to us taking any action necessary that is in the interest of your cat’s health and safety.

We are able to provide beds and toys for cats. Should you wish to bring you own bedding this must be in a clean condition. Any bedding, toys and other comfort items are all left at your own risk. Any seriously soiled soft toys will be destroyed. Any items left at the cattery either deliberately or by accident will be kept for 2 weeks to enable collection, after which they will be disposed of.

Animals left at the Cattery for 14 days in excess of their planned departure date without any contact from their owner or representative will be classed as abandoned and removed from the premises to an official establishment for this purpose. Any outstanding boarding fees and extra costs incurred will be pursued in full.

You must transport your cat in a suitable secure pet carrier. Do not carry your cat in your arms or an old box. All carriers will remain on site while the cat is here and is left at the owner’s risk.

All medication must be in the original packing with the dosage clearly visible and the prescribing veterinary surgeon’s name on the label. Whilst every care is taken in the giving of medication we cannot be held responsible for incorrect dosages if the above is not adhered to. We cannot be held responsible for the health of cats who we can’t administer medication to due to their behaviour. We do not accept new customers whose cats have diabetes.

We occasionally take photographs of the cattery for use on the website and social media. We retain the right to use these images as we see fit and for as long as we see fit.

All vehicles and belongings of customers are brought onto the premises at the owners risk. Maisemore Cattery cannot be held responsible for any damage howsoever caused.

Anyone who enters the premises does so at their own risk and any children should be kept under strict supervision.

Although we do not charge cancellation fees, we reserve the right to not accept or cancel bookings made by customers who take advantage of this policy.
